Water

I walk on water
upheld by my faith
A childlike unknowing
the tempting of my fate

Irreverent defiance
of that which should not be
Passionate surrender
to possibility

Focused toward the shore
believing the unseen
I trust my inner compass
speaks God’s will to me

Though there will be storms
and crashing of the waves
I’ll still walk on water
upheld by my faith
